SOUTH Coast based Mildren Construction, is pleased to become a member of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA).
CECA is the representative body for companies who work day-to-day to deliver, upgrade, and maintain the country’s infrastructure.
With more than 300 members across eight regions, CECA represents firms who together carry out an estimated 70-80 per cent of all civil engineering activity in the UK, in the key sectors of transport, energy, communications, waste and water.
Simon French, Managing Director said: "We opted to join CECA as it is recognised as the industry leader to improve the health and safety record for the civil engineering sector. It has active involvement in shaping debate principally through its access to the HSE’s Construction Industry Advisory Committee (ConIAC), where CECA sits on the overarching ConIAC Acting Together Steering Group.
He added, “CECA is also represented on a number of other HSE groups, including the Keeping Pace with Change Working Group and also the Sharing our Success Working Group where it has the role of Vice-Chair.
