Greendale Construction apprentice, Sam, gets special recognition award

Chartered Builders, Greendale Construction Limited is delighted to congratulate Samuel Wright, 19, for being awarded a special recognition prize for his NVQ level 2 in Site Carpentry apprenticeship at Bournemouth and Poole College.  Samuel joined Greendale Construction straight from St Aldhelm’s Academy, after previously spending 2 weeks on work experience with Greendale in 2019.  Sam is studying towards his apprenticeship in site carpentry and is currently in his 3rd year working on his NVQ Level 3 qualification. Sam is mentored by one of Greendale’s senior site carpenters, Tim Wall.

Nigel Green, Coordinator / Assessor for Construction & Wood Trades at from Bournemouth & Poole College, visited Sam on a Greendale site at Poole Dentistry to present him with his special recognition award.

Nigel commented: “I nominated Sam for this special achievement award because of his high level of skills and commitment. He has been a breath of fresh air to work with over the last two years.
We at Bournemouth and Poole College have been working with Greendale Construction for many years and it's due to their keen involvement in the apprenticeship process that we have been able to enjoy such a high level of success with their apprentices.”

Maria Seabright, HR/Finance Director, Greendale Construction commented: “We were absolutely thrilled for Sam being presented with the special recognition award which he thoroughly deserves.  Since Sam has joined Greendale, he has shown himself to be a talented, dedicated, and hard-working member of our team.  Apprenticeships are so important to help our young people learn a trade and develop their passion in an ever-growing industry, and we are very grateful for Nigel in nominating Sam, and for Bournemouth and Poole College who are hugely supportive of the apprenticeship schemes.”
