Multi Award Winning Restaurant group, Zim Braai has opened the doors of a second site in Bournemouth, despite the Covid (19) Pandemic.
Amongst the noise of the UK’s restaurants and pubs opening post national lockdown, Andy Lennox Owner & MD, & team held a socially distanced Launch evening at the new premises on Poole Hill, Bournemouth on 7th July.
With the group’s first site in Ashley Cross opening on Saturday 4th July in line with the ease of the government restrictions, the new location which was due to open in March, has been completed despite the extremely difficult circumstances and restrictions.
Established in August 2018, Zim Braai is a multi-award winning African inspired dining concept which incorporates the healthy eating ideals of a balanced diet with the rich flavours of African cuisine all wrapped up in an exotic, exuberant atmosphere with an award winning service style.
The group’s second and larger city centre location boasts a sun-soaked terrace which is perfect for the current climate & also coverable with an awning. The site will house over 120 covers post Covid (19) restrictions and has a prominent location in The Triangle, Bournemouth.
“Despite what has been the most difficult time in modern history in our industry we believe that our brand can flourish in the post Covid world and are so happy that despite literally everything going wrong we have managed to pull together and deliver a beautiful restaurant. We might just be the very first new restaurant post Covid. Our eyes are set firmly on the safeguard of the team and returning to profitability in the coming months whilst we also actively look to expand the group further.” (Said Lennox)
“I am so proud of the team coming off Furlough and getting stuck straight into the new world order, it’s a particularly awe-inspiring sight to see your team come together so professionally. We are Hospitality”. (Said Lennox)
