Greendale Construction has completed its year of fundraising events for Elsie’s Rose, the Dorset based charity for bereaved parents and those facing the loss of a child, with more super-fit employees taking part in local runs. On 13th September, Greendale’s QS/CM, Aedan Carroll, completed the New Forest Half Marathon; a flat and fast multi-terrain course winding through ancient woodland and across open heathland. On 11th October, Charlotte Holyoake, HR manager, Dave Neil, site manager, and John Walker, pre-construction manager, completed the Run Bournemouth 10K, raising a further £930 across both events, bringing the grand yearly total to an incredible £4685.
Earlier in the year, Greendale presented a cheque for £1245 to Elsie’s Rose, from money raised via a raffle at the Company’s Christmas party, and another for £2510 after seventeen employees took part in the gruelling 2026 Dorset Mud Run.
Founded by Annie and Ben Gould after losing their beloved first-born daughter, Elsie, to a brain tumour in 2021, Elsie’s Rose is a local charity which provides emotional support and financial assistance to parents and primary caregivers of children receiving end-of-life care, and to those who have recently lost a child.
Annie Gould, Elsie’s Rose, commented: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Greendale for helping raise vital funds for Elsie’s Rose. It means the absolute world to us to know that so many people are behind us and want to help keep Elsie’s legacy alive. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for supporting Elsie’s Rose.”
Maria Seabright, HR and Finance Director, Greendale Construction, commented: “We are so proud and impressed of our dedicated Greendale teams who have once again gone above and beyond to help raise so much money for Greendale’s charity of the year. We can’t thank them enough for taking the time to compete, as well as all the kind-hearted and generous people who donated via our Just Giving page.”
